[ECOS] building on FreeSBD

Ok, so I got everything unpacked, created a build directory, did a 
configure, which completed and then 'make' which bombed as follows:

demon2.hq.home.mcmanis.com% make
Making all in tools/src
Making all in infra
"Makefile", line 414: Need an operator
make: fatal errors encountered -- cannot continue
*** Error code 1

Stop in /usr/ecos/build/tools/src.
*** Error code 1

Stop in /usr/ecos/build.
demon2.hq.home.mcmanis.com%	
-----------------------------------

Gcc version is 2.95.4 (FreeBSD 4.8 release)

Thoughts?
