Unlikely. The timeouts are generous. 5 seconds between retries. After
5 retries for the same block, or 50 retries it total, it gives up.

It seems more likely you are loosing packets somewhere. Try some
simple ping tests to make sure your Ethernet device driver does not
have a problem.
