eCos uses a snapshot of the FreeBSD stack as the basis for its stack. The
IPv6 is based on the work done by the KAME project. An interesting page in
this context is:

That page is a year old so it may have moved on since then, but eCos's
FreeBSD port is from FreeBSD 4.4 snapshot 2002-01-07 i.e. around the same
time, so it is probably close.
However if you needed anything newer, you would have to look at updating
the eCos FreeBSD stack sources.
