To be honest, a potentially easier and more useful approach would be
to add support for loading from the GRUB bootloader. Then we will be
able to load Redboot/eCos from a filesystem on a multi-boot machine.
GRUB can load ELF files directly, anywhere into RAM, and does the
switch to protected mode before calling the executable.
