If you do that and use gcc 3.x for that, make sure to also follow the
instructions in
http://sources.redhat.com/ml/ecos-discuss/2001-10/msg00274.html

Otherwise, all those nice C++ header files will be missing and you'll
get exactly the problem you had originally. BTW, copying random header
files from places that seem appropriate isn't appropriate in most cases
;-)
