[ECOS] Confirmation on support of Sockets

Dear Community,
I would like to know whether the current version of eCos(CVS source1.3.1)
supports socket programming.
I learnt from eCos refrence manual that Networking feature is not supported
in this release.
Any help in this regard is greatly helpful.
