[ECOS] how to see program output when using GDB?

Thanks Bart.  You are correct, the GDB encapsulation ('O') is what I'm
missing.  The box already has a rom-based boot loader so I didn't look
into RedBoot.  I'll add upgrading ecos source to the to-do list.
