[ECOS] atmel generic flash driver question

Hi
just made a test here and
the EB40 board seems to work if its flash driver is replaced with the
atmel generic one _if_ the FLASH_NUM_REGIONS is turned form 512 to 256 in
the inl file(angel takes up half the flash on this board).Could this
option and maybe others be overriden in the platform specific part just
as INTERLEAVE and co can?It would make target code lighter and put the
generic drivers to more use.Is there anything besides possible lack of
time that prevents making edb use the generic intel driver as well?
