Hello all:

I am interested in using the linux synthetic target to develop additions
to Redboot. Can Redboot be built to run as a synthetic target? I tried
to set this up using ecosconfig, and here's what I get:

m5% ecosconfig new i386linux redboot
U CYGDBG_HAL_COMMON_CONTEXT_SAVE_MINIMUM, new inferred value 0
U CYGFUN_LIBC_STRING_BSD_FUNCS, new inferred value 0
C CYGBLD_BUILD_REDBOOT, "requires" constraint not satisfied: CYGSEM_HAL_VIRTUAL_VECTOR_SUPPORT
C CYGPRI_REDBOOT_ROM_MONITOR, "requires" constraint not satisfied: CYGSEM_HAL_ROM_MONITOR

Does this mean that HAL support for linux synthetic is incomplete so far
as Redboot's needs are concerned? Please advise.
