[ECOS] compiling glib for ecos?

hi,

i need some functionality provided by glib, so 
i'm looking at how to compile glib into ecos.
i'm a little at a loss of how to start. i've
searched the archives and there are numerous
references to glib as part of the host side
tools, but not on the target.

any advice, comments, and encouragement welcome!
