[ECOS] Where is the linux

Nowhere. Linux != eCos.

Yes, it's a different thing. You're clearly looking for Linux, but
looking in the wrong place. eCos is not Linux. eCos is something you use
for a dedicated application on the target - there's no need for files,
dirs, and a root filesystem.
