[ECOS] bug in e2fs code -> filetype information

Hello,

I ran into some troubles today while trying to boot a kernel image from an
ext2 partition on a pxa250 board with a debian woody distribution.
There appears to be a bug in the e2fs of redboot, as it relies on the fact
that the underlying ext2 filesystem has the "filetype" feature turned on
(redboot extracts the file type information from the dir_entry structure
instead of from the inode structure).
I can submit a patch to modify this behaviour if there is any interest ? (or
maybe it should be documented somewhere in the redboot documentation ?)

Best Regards,
David Mazur
