[ECOS] Redboot porting question?

HI all:
    I have finished porting the eCOS kernel to Altera soft-core Nios
processor, it seems it is running well. because I lack of debugging tools so
I am thinking about using the redboot. but could anyone please tell me some
more detail about porting the redboot.

Is the virtual vector needed for the redboot. ( My port doesn't include the
virtual vector yet). ?? For porting redboot what kind of functions should be
implemented in both the target and platform hal? Thanks a lot.
