This has actually already been done. Warren Jasper
(wjasper@tx.ncsu.edu) did it a couple of years ago, but it never got
included into the main source tree -- probably due to a lack of
assignment. That was for version 1.3.1, so it would probably need a
little work to bring it up to date. I have a copy of Warren's HAL
here.

Apart from the evaluation board in the source tree I don't know of any
others. Maybe someone else on the mailing list does.

It's little endian.

Red Hat does not do eCos support any more and have laid off all their
eCos engineers. The original developers of eCos are now working as
