[ECOS] INITIALIZATION....

Hi, 
   we r using MPC860(powerpc) in our board and os as eCos.I have to
initialise the processor, Now is it mandatory to use HAL
provided by the eCos.... or can we write our own initialisation without
medling with Hal provided by the Ecos....and please suggest me how to go
about the initialization of MPC860....
