[ECOS] insight experience

You probably won't want to hear this, but it's very stable under
Linux.  You might want to consider moving to Linux instead.
I find Insight to be FAR superior to the WindRiver equivalent
too.  Once you get it working, I think you'll be pleasantly
surprised to see how well it works.

If you have a Linux box (or solaris box) already setup, you could
use exceede to debug remotely too if you don't want to move all
your development over.
