[ECOS] Question about NiOS with eCOS

Hi all:
    The Altera Nios board comes with the nios-elf-xxx development tools. If
I would like to use eCOS with NiOS, is it possible? Is the development tools
still useable? Because the board also comes with the stub on it, so do I
really need to develope another stub for downloading(can be without debug)?
