    There is a substantive programmer's manual
for the Intel 8255X, but it is available only to
firms that have signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

    There is a module in Intel's MON960 that
tests the 8255X which is worth studying. You
can find the source for that at:
ftp.intel.com/pub/i960/mon960/mon960_3.3.2
