[ECOS] gcc builds for 5 hrs...

Hi All,
I was trying to build the gcc and gdb sources for PPC on a WinNT(I didn't 
want to get into trouble with the beta of Windows 9x) machine with 256MB 
RAM. But the build is dead slow. It took almost 5 hrs to build the gcc 
itself.
Could anyone tell me a way out..??

I have stopped all the unwanted services and no other application is runnig 
on the machine.

Any help is highly appreciated.
