[ECOS] RE: PCMCIA access problem

I was finally able to get the registers of the PCMCIA controller to
their default values by doing all the required steps.  

I then had a problem writing to the registers.  I resolved this by
reading information about the fact that the CL-PS6700 requires 1-byte or
4-byte accesses only.  2-byte access to the registers only works with a
read and not a write. 

Anyhow, now I'm interested in knowing more information about the PCMCIA
driver interface to the kernel.  Gary Thomas would probably be the best
for answers on this topic.  Anyhow, I'll compile a list of questions
over the next couple of days, and write another email to the list at
that time.
