[ECOS] gdb 5.1 and eCos

Has gdb 5.1 been tested for use as a cross debugger with ARM and MIPS under
eCos?
If so, are there any known issues in migrating from 5.0 to 5.1?  Are there
any special
patches one needs to apply?
I had seen some postings about this, but nothing definitive.
