Definitely use anonymous CVS for a new port. Porting is easier, and a lot
has been reorganised in the powerPC HAL since 1.3.1. Also read the porting
guide from http://sources.redhat.com/ecos/docs-latest/ although there are
still a few gaps.

And ask here if you run into problems.
