Flash support, more download options, and simply a very rich set of 
command line options. There are a few commands that cygmon had that 
redboot doesn't, e.g. disassembly (on some architectures) and being able 
to set breakpoints from the command line. People don't seem to be too 
bothered about these it seems though. You can get more info about redboot
