I am starting with the PKGBUILDs here: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=29146 The full list of errors are on that page. Here's the part most likely indicating the cause of the rest: make[2]: Entering directory `/home/suat/Abs/Lapis/denemeler/docbook-sgml-utils/src/docbook-utils-0.6.14/doc/HTML' SGML_CATALOG_FILES=/etc/sgml/catalog SGML_SEARCH_PATH=../..:../../doc:.. jade -t sgml -i html -d ../../docbook-utils.dsl#html -V '%use-id-as-filename%' ../../doc/docbook-utils.sgml jade:../../doc/docbook-utils.sgml:1:55:W: cannot generate system identifier for public text "-//OASIS//DTD DocBook V3.1//EN" jade:../../doc/docbook-utils.sgml:9:0:E: reference to entity "BOOK" for which no system identifier could be generated jade:../../doc/docbook-utils.sgml:1:0: entity was defined here I think this is due to using the older doctype. I think this would be fixed by installing doctype sgml dtd 3.1, but I would rather not add a legacy package to the Arch repository just for this. Am I correct about the error? If so will this be updated docbook-utils.sgml be updated to the newer version soon? Feel free to take it if no one does, it's open source, after all. ?ric Bischoff ebischoff@nerim.net From escarls@online.no Mon Aug 16 11:41:00 2010 From: escarls@online.no (Espen Carlsen) Date: Mon, 16 Aug 2010 11:41:00 -0000 Subject: Error in docbook2html if source catalog contains spaces. Probably missing quotes around the path... Problem is : who currently maintains docbook-utils ? I don't know if I even still have an account, and on which site? If no one show up, I can investigate and see if I can regain access, but it's been years i have not touched those files. Best thing would be if someone could proclam himself/herself as the new maintainer. I don't know if I even still have an account, and on which site? When I searched around, I came up with: http://sources.redhat.com/docbook-tools/ http://sourceware.org/docbook-tools/ Those looks like mirrors of eachother and the mailaddress at the bottom was the one I mailed. > If no one show up, I can investigate and see if I can regain access, but it's been years i have not touched those files. > Best thing would be if someone could proclam himself/herself as the new maintainer. I think it looks like someone at redhat, though nothing has been changed in those scripts for some years, so it might be that it doesn't have a maintainer. Regards, Espen Carlsen. OK, I can take it again and apply your fix... but I don't even know anymore if i have write access, what's the address, and so on. :-( From antikapitalista1@gmail.com Sun Sep 26 15:41:00 2010 From: antikapitalista1@gmail.com (=?ISO-8859-1?Q?Martin_Seker=E1k?=) Date: Sun, 26 Sep 2010 15:41:00 -0000 Subject: Error in character class syntax in jw Message-ID: Hello, it seems that there is an error in "jw", when executing (for example): docbook2html EXAMPLE.sgml the following error appears: grep: character class syntax is [[:space:]], not [:space:] grep: character class syntax is [[:space:]], not [:space:] jw: There is no frontend called "/docbook/utils-0.6.14/frontends/docbook". and the command fails, as grep produces nothing that sed could consume in a satisfactory way.
