Structured Exception Handling Overwrite Protection (SEHOP) still "incompatible" with Cygwin?

Hello,
in our Windows 10 environment the Windows Structured Exception Handling Overwrite Protection (SEHOP) will be activated in the foreseeable future.
There is a Windows community post from 2010 which mentions possible issues with Cygwin: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/sehop-side-effects/3da5eeca-68ed-47f8-8070-b096d74d60f4
Unfortunately I couldn't find any newer information about that, even with a search on the cygwin mailing list archives and the Cygwin FAQ.
Could you please tell, whether that possible issue still exists?
Many thanks!
Regards,
Eckart Hofmann
