Disambiguation: Can I just mention that there is another well-known
project also called *Sphinx* (in the shortened form) but more properly
known as CMUSphinx or "Carnegie Mellon University 'Sphinx'" however that
is a long running (20 years old by now) completely unrelated group of
Speech-recognition systems which may also found in/on FLOSS platforms.
This name collision is unfortunate when searching for one and finding
the other but that is how it is...
