Thanks. I could reconfirm the problem on a Win2003 64bit running a 32bit
Cygwin:
cygcheck apparently is not complaining:
$cygcheck /bin/wget
D:\cygwin\bin\wget.exe
D:\cygwin\bin\cygwin1.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\KERNEL32.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntdll.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cyggnutls-28.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cyghogweed-2.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cyggmp-10.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygnettle-4.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cyggcc_s-1.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygz.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygiconv-2.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygintl-8.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygp11-kit-0.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygffi-6.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygtasn1-6.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygidn-11.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygpcre-1.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cyguuid-1.dll
Functionality for 1.16.2-1 is missing at all:
$wget
$
$wget --help
$
Once I revert back to wget 1.16.1-1 it works:
$wget
wget: missing URL
Usage: wget [OPTION]... [URL]...
Try `wget --help' for more options.
$
cygcheck output is identic with that for 1.16.2-1:
$cygcheck /bin/wget
D:\cygwin\bin\wget.exe
D:\cygwin\bin\cygwin1.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\KERNEL32.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntdll.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cyggnutls-28.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cyghogweed-2.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cyggmp-10.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygnettle-4.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cyggcc_s-1.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygz.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygiconv-2.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygintl-8.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygp11-kit-0.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygffi-6.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygtasn1-6.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygidn-11.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cygpcre-1.dll
D:\cygwin\bin\cyguuid-1.dll
$wget --help
GNU Wget 1.16.1, a non-interactive network retriever.
Usage: wget [OPTION]... [URL]...
...
<skipping full output here>
All other packages were updated today, including the emulation engine, of
course.
