Octave 3.6.4 and 3.6.2 - urlread failing to load file

For me is:
$  ls -l /usr/lib/octave/3.6.4/oct/i686-pc-cygwin/urlwrite.oct
-rwxr-xr-x 1 marco None 106510 Feb 23 09:38 

it seems to me that ???????? is coming from an error in
your cygwin setup. It is not an octave issue.

It seems you never correctly updated your

see "man mkpasswd"

What is the outcome of command "whoami" ?
