File paths redirected to MSYS directory

Now I feel a bit silly for not having thought of that myself. That's precisely what
the problem was - there was no vi or make program installed, which I realised
when I removed MSYS from the path and tried 'which' again. I've installed both 
packages and it's working fine now.
