Problem running top on Windows 7

See attached stackdump.  This output was followed by a bundle of messages like this:

End of stack trace
    7247 [sig] top 6112 exception::handle: Error while dumping state (probably 
corrupted stack)
  128235 [sig] top 6112 exception::handle: Error while dumping state (probably 
corrupted stack)
  221305 [sig] top 6112 exception::handle: Error while dumping state (probably 
corrupted stack)


Is there other diagnostics needed?  cygcheck -c returns OK for all packages. 
The top session runs for several minutes fine before this fault occurs.
