GNU screen hangs

There's always a better terminal! ;-)  Cygwin has mintty and rxvt
that don't require X.  Then there's poderosa and Console2 (at least)
that you can hunt down on the net.  Poderosa and Console2 have tabs,
if you like that kind of thing. ;-)
