Hello,

When trying to clone/fetch a SVN repository I have here, I receive the following error in my console:
<<
error: could not commit config file .git/svn/.metadata
config svn-remote.svn.reposRoot http://sombrero.ridgetop-group.local/svn/sentinel: command returned error: 4
>>
or one similar to:
<<
error: could not commit config file .git/svn/.metadata
config svn-remote.svn.tags-maxRev 1616: command returned error: 4
>>

I've tried both Cygwin git versions available right now (1.6.0.4-1 and 1.6.1.2-1) and receive the same error from both. Running the same command on an Ubuntu box I have here (running 1.5.4.3-1ubuntu2.1), everything works.

I'm afraid that I don't even know where to begin in trying to debug this error. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks,
Karl M. Davis
