File permissions on Vista

Sorry, I can't reproduce this.


I got this problem when I created a TAR file (on a Windows XP machine), 
and un-TARed it on Vista.  I'm glad I found your helpful posting so I 
can fix my /etc/passwd before I un-TAR some other TARs!
