That's terrific zzapper,  but I don't think I can take credit for it.
 Since I'm just a maintainer standing on the shoulders of giants, I
suppose one of them was responsible.

I doubt my recent re-linking to the latest openssl libs would have
fixed it.  Maybe a newer Cygwin DLL release?
