(Hint - cygcheck -c postgresql will tell you whether it is installed, and
if so, what version it is at).
And next time, please kindly refrain from replying to an unrelated chain
of emails related to how you just subscribed - just start a new thread of
conversation if it is a new topic. Furthermore, if you had FOLLOWED these
directions:

and attached the output of 'cygcheck -svr' as a text attachment, we would
already know whether you had installed postgresql.
