modifying PKG_CONFIG_PATH

You can add it to your ~/.bashrc (export
PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/lib/pkgcongig:/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig) or equivalent for
other shells, or you can use the global /etc/profile.d directory to add it for
everyone.
