Regression from 1.5.18 (probably within the last week, but I can't pinpoint
which snapshot):  On Win98, 20050929 fails to recognize directories
on remote drives:

$ df -T g:
Filesystem    Type   1K-blocks      Used Available Use% Mounted on
g:     user,remote    29286400  20123648   9162752  69% /cygdrive/g
$ cd /cygdrive/g
$ mkdir dir
$ \ls -l dir
-rwxr-xr-x  0 eblake unknown 0 Dec 31  1969 dir
