CPIO with solaris 9 flash archives

doh!
silly me - I was expecting it to be in a standard library.
it would help if was looking at the full list of packages too!

E:\>file v240-disbox-v1-08-archive
v240-disbox-v1-08-archive: data

which basically means it doesn't recognise it, doesn't it?
