Debugging help with cygwin1!_alloca ()

Can anyone provide info on how to debug the following:

SIGSEGV, Segmentation Fault in cygwin1!_alloca () from /usr/bin/cygwin1.dll

My code starts to run and then dies with this message. Any help would be 
greatly appreciated...
