The rxvt manpage has some rather strange bits in it, that seem to be
formatting instructions for another app..
I found this info searching the archives:
s/^\.YODLTAGSTART\./\.YYODLTAGSTART\./
s/\.YODLTAGSTART\./\r\.YODLTAGSTART\./g
s/\.YODLTAGSTART\. roffcmd //
s/\.YYODLTAGSTART\. roffcmd //
s/\.YODLTAGEND\.//
s/\n\.YYODLTAGSTART\..*//
call it patch.sed.
$ cp /usr/man/man1/rxvt.1 /tmp/
$ sed -f patch.sed /tmp/rxvt.1 > /usr/man/man1/rxvt.1
Contributed by Jason Pearce...
However, this still leaves some info that should not be there...
RXVT(1) X Tools
RXVT(1)
.SH "NAME" rxvt (ouR XVT) - a VT102 emulator for the X window system.PP
.SH "SYNOPSIS"
rxvt [options] [-e command [ args ]].PP
.SH "DESCRIPTION"
That's what I get under cygwin.
On my debian box, with an admittedly older version of rxvt (2.6.4 :-/ ), I
get the following:
1(RXVT) X Tools
1(RXVT)
NAME
rxvt (ouR XVT) - a VT102 emulator for the X window system
SYNOPSIS
rxvt [options] [-e command [ args ]]
DESCRIPTION
And so forth. Note that the section titles aren't bolded in cygwin for rxvt,
but are in linux..
Anyone have any sort of resolution to this? (Just copy the manpage from a
working linux box?)
Cheers, Chris
