compilation errors gcc 3.2

Since configure detects if these functions are available:

> checking for fputc_unlocked... no
> checking for fputs_unlocked... no
> checking for fwrite_unlocked... no
> checking for fprintf_unlocked... no

these should never be used when compiling the sources.
