"cd /" - problem

A peculiar problem, this:
I can reproduce it with 1.5.7-1 and the snapshot listed below. Others _not_
verified.
The workaround *seems* to be to enclose $CYGWIN contents in quotes (does
this affect the requested functionality? <- untested )
$ uname -a
CYGWIN_NT-5.0 P450 1.5.8s(0.110/4/2) 20040221 17:58:57 i686 unknown unknown
Cygwin
--
$ cd /
bash: cd: /: No such file or directory
$ echo $CYGWIN
notitle glob check_case:strict
$
--
$ cd /
$ echo $CYGWIN
"notitle glob check_case:strict"
--
NOTE: /As always this has to be set/changed in cygwin.bat/
