New setup.exe release candidate - unhandled exception

I am getting an unhandled exception crash error. The setup.log reports:

System is windows 2000 sp4. I told it not to mess with the anti-virus
program.  sum of cmake tarball is "36654 1501". Running "tar -tjvf" on
the file works fine.
