Andrew,

you are right,

repeating the list of internal libs back-to-back
gcc -ofoo
foomain.o -L../lib -lfoo1 -lfoo2  -lfoo1 -lfoo2 -lg2c -lc -lgsl -lm

does the trick! The executable links now properly.

Even though it dumps a core on invocation. But here the debugger can help!
