getaddrinfo function

Hello

in the mailing list cygwin@cygwin.com archive, i've
found some discussions about the function getaddrinfo

however, i can't find how to compile my prog using
this function. I found no getaddrinfo definition in
/usr/include/netdb.h

has this function been developped ?
