Hello,
   After solving all problems and setting up cygwin using setup.exe. I am
still unable to run ncurses demo. Earlier man was displaying errors about
terminal not being setup correctly. But now man works fine.

But ncurses demos still display errors:

$ ./hashtest
Error opening terminal: cygwin.

Also when compiling libmcrypt syntax error is displayed:

unknown@DEFAULT /cygdrive/d/libmcrypt-2.5.0
$ ./configure
checking build system type... i586-pc-cygwin
checking host system type... i586-pc-cygwin
checking target system type... i586-pc-cygwin
checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking for mawk... no
checking for gawk... gawk
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... eval: 1: Syntax error: Unterminated

 string

Author said there is no problem with configure script as it works well
on Linux.
