Dantin,

With stock Windows '98, your best bet is RXVT. (Some would say it's the 
better choice even on one of the real Windows versions: NT, 2000 or XP Pro.)

As I said, there's an extension of some sort, or maybe a replacement for 
the built-in console is a better description, but I don't even know what 
it's called--just that I've heard of it.

Oh, OK. I looked it up--it's called "consize". Go to
