recvfrom and timeout signal

I did tests on about 7 PCs running 98/Me and all these failed.
They have 98/Me localized for Poland but it should have no influence over
functionality, however I cannot exclude a bug in Polish version of Windows.

Please advise further steps to solve the problem.
