Xerces C++ support in cygwin

Great.  I tried it some months ago, it was not possible
to get it to compile.  Since that time I don't like the
xml.apache folks very much.

Now I thought, give it another try, but *they* make still
problems... I cannot check it out with CVS, too bad.
