I get:

Color	Shows As Color Shows As Color Shows As
---------------- ------------------- -------------------
black silver/grey? red red blue teal
yellow yellow gray silver/grey? silver silver/grey?
white bold white maroon maroon purple purple
fuschia fuschia olive brown/olive? navy teal
teal teal aqua aqua lime lime
green green

which is an improvement on what you see, but not perfect.

I don't know, why don't you try removing it.

You could try uninstalling and reinstalling terminfo if you want.

If links doesn't behave nicely you could try using w3m which also works on
cygwin. (if a text browser that renders tables is what you wanted....I'm not
really bothered about the tables so i tend to use lynx)
